How does the AHS generate a hiring recommendation?
Merits and demerits are positive and negative predictors with regard to the job you wish to hire for. If you are looking for a purchasing agent, years of experience in purchasing could be considered a (biographical) merit assessed through the Biographical Questionnaire Online. The degree of frustration tolerance as assessed through the Personality Questionnaire Online would be considered a (psychological) merit. A single merit or demerit does not qualify or disqualify an applicant – merits and demerits are added up into an overall hiring recommendation. Merits and demerits are comprised of biographical predictors, personality traits, competencies, interests, and motivation. By assessing predictors in all of these domains, a comprehensive assessment of an applicant’s suitability for the job results. What is considered a merit or demerit for a specific job depends on the demands of the job, which are comprehensively depicted in a job profile. The merits and demerits contained in the job profile are assessed online through an automatically generated online questionnaire. Templates for job profiles are available for the most common jobs. In addition, customized job profiles can be created with little effort. Applicants are ranked based on their overall suitability for the job. Adding up all merits and demerits assesses the overall suitability for the job. The overall score of an applicant indicates how likely it is that the applicant will be successful on the job you wish to hire for. The top candidates on the ranking list can be invited to the next step of the selection process, e.g. a personal interview or an Assessment Center. Our interview-scheduling tool {Link} directly taps into your calendar and helps you set up interview dates and invite candidates to the personal interview via e-mail. |
